Students are only allowed to start the internship after they:

Finished their Bachelor in Psychology, and

Obtained at least 36SP of the Master in Work & Organizational Psychology program

The student is responsible for finding a company where he/she can do his/her apprenticeship and is also responsible for the contract. As the apprenticeship advances the student gains more responsibilities and builds more independence in their job. Students are given the opportunity to develop and deepen their professional competences and skills. Theoretical backgrounds and knowledge acquired during the course of studies are now translated into practice. The apprenticeship creates opportunities for students to receive feedback on their professional functioning.
Apprenticeships in work- and organisational psychology are very diverse as students may enter very different work settings: Human Resources departments, HR consulting, Recruitment and Selection, Marketing organisations, Training & Development,  Outplacement, and other.
Of prime importance is the development of communication skills, both oral and written. Giving presentations to smaller or larger groups, consulting with peers and other professionals, teaching etc. are some examples.

Throughout the academic year, 5 seminars are organized. Attendence during those seminars is mandatory.

As part of their internship, students also play an active role in the annual 2-day teambuilding seminar with students from 3rd bachelor and 1st master I/O Psychology. They prepare teambuildingexcercises as well as an evening activity; that will be performed by teams of 3rd bachelor and 1ste master students during the seminar. The students also guide one team througout the entire seminar. Participation in the preparation of and during the teambuilding seminar is mandatory, if not 'absent' on the entire course.

During this interview, the activities that the student has carried out, the responsibilities thereby granted to the student and the achievements thereof are discussed.
