Course Content

This course will delve into some fundamental questions of agologie. It builts upon the introductory bachelor-courses. Students are challenged to discuss and analyse the definitions of agogiek. There is a specific focus on the relation between ago(lo)gie and philosophy. The political role of the agoog/agogiek/social-cultural field will be questioned from a political and philosophical point of view. Concepts such as worldviews, ideology and the political cosmopolitanism will be addressed from an ago(lo)gical point of view.

This course includes a group assignment (with presentation). Students will get acquainted in small groups (3-4 students) with the field and its political meaning. Each group works independently with an organization or local actor and Brussels is considered as a living lab.
