Additional info regarding evaluation

1a convocatoria

1st exam session

Continuous assessment: 20% (interim test in January)

Written exam: 80% (written exam in June)

In order to pass the course, students must have obtained at least 8/20 for each of the two parts (Linguistics ánd Grammar). The maximum final score for the course as a whole which can be awarded to students who did not achieve a final grade of at least 8/20 for one or both parts is 8/20. Students who did not participate in both parts will receive ‘absent’ as their final grade for the course as a whole.

In the second exam session students will keep their score for the assessment component for which they achieved a pass grade (10/20 or higher). However, students can also retake this component if they inform both tutors via e-mail (jasper.vandenberghe@vub.be ánd an.vande.casteele@vub.be) and two weeks before the date of the exam in the second exam session.
