This course studies the major legal topics concerning the scope of application of the Belgian social
security scheme for the self-employed and concerning the social security contributions to be paid by the self-employed. The granting conditions and the calculation of the different social security benefits for the self-employed will also be analysed. Furthermore, students will be trained in solving legal cases.
All studymaterial is made available by means of the learning platform. A printed version of the syllabus will be available as well.
Students need a codex of Belgian social security law. Wolters Kluwer's "Basiswetboek sociaal recht" is recommended.
