Inhoud

This course introduces students to a wide range of approaches and methods in literary studies and linguistics. After a few introductory sessions, students are introduced to formalist, historicist, political, psychoanalytical and intermedial approaches in literary studies. They learn how to make surveys, conduct interviews and analyze data statistically. In addition, the course discusses various methods for corpus linguistics and psycholinguistics.

De beoordeling bestaat uit volgende opdrachtcategorieën:
Examen Schriftelijk bepaalt 100% van het eindcijfer

Binnen de categorie Examen Schriftelijk dient men volgende opdrachten af te werken:

Schrift. examen met een wegingsfactor 100 en aldus 100% van het totale eindcijfer.

Toelichting: - Participatie als voorwaarde om deel te nemen aan het examen.
- Schriftelijk examen bepaalt 100% van het eindcijfer.
- Toelichting:
o ZELF Reflectiepaper voor taalkunde
o ZELF Reflectiepaper voor letterkunde

Aanvullende info mbt evaluatie

In case of lateness with assigments or unwarranted absence, the student will obtain zero for the assigment in question. Participation in all classes is a prerequisite for submitting the reflection paper. Students submit a so-called "one-minute paper" (summary, answer to a question, keypoints, etc.) after each class.
If the student fails the course, the student must retake the parts for which he/she did not pass.
- If the student failed to meet the participation requirement, he/she has to submit a summary for all classes for which he/she submitted the one-minute paper too late.
- If the student fails the reflection paper, he or she has to rewrite and resubmit the reflection paper for both literary studies and linguistics.
The same tasks, deadlines and method of grading apply to all students.
