Inhoud

This course introduces students to a wide range of approaches and methods in literary studies and linguistics. After a few introductory sessions, students are introduced to formalist, historicist, political, psychoanalytical and intermedial approaches in literary studies. They learn how to make surveys, conduct interviews and analyse data statistically. In addition, the course discusses various methods for corpus linguistics and psycholinguistics.

Beoordelingsinformatie

De beoordeling bestaat uit volgende opdrachtcategorieën:
Examen Schriftelijk bepaalt 100% van het eindcijfer

Binnen de categorie Examen Schriftelijk dient men volgende opdrachten af te werken:

Schrift. examen met een wegingsfactor 100 en aldus 100% van het totale eindcijfer.

Toelichting: Schriftelijk examen in de vorm reflectiepapers en meerkeuze-examen. Reflectiepaper taalkunde bepaalt 40% van het eindresultaat. Reflectiepaper letterkunde bepaalt 40% van het eindresultaat. Meerkeuze-examen bepaalt 20% van het eindresultaat.

Aanvullende info mbt evaluatie

If the student submits an assignment late, he/she will receive 0/20 for that assignment.
If the student fails the course, he/she must retake all sections for which he/she failed.
If the student fails the reflection paper (language arts and/or literature), he/she must rework and resubmit the reflection paper.
The same assignments, deadlines and evaluation method apply to all students.
